Reach Utah 2024

We will be traveling to Provo, Utah for the third year in a row to partner with a local church and share the gospel with college students. Click the sections below to learn more about the trip! Still have questions? Email mary@untbsm.com.

    • Receive excellent evangelism training
    • Work with Mosaic Church in Provo to share the gospel with college students from BYU and UVU
    • Prayer-walk college campuses in Provo
    • Engage in evangelism and build friendships with students from other Texas BSMs
    • Host community outreach events to follow up with the people we meet throughout the week
    • Experience the beauty of Utah
    • People in Provo need to hear the gospel! Less than 2% of the population in Utah County consists of evangelical Christians.
    • You'll get great experience learning how to recognize gospel errors and how to articulate the true gospel. This will also impact our evangelism on UNT's campus when we return.
    • Going on mission together is a great way to build friendships with other believers! Not only will you get to spend quality time with others from our BSM, you'll get to meet students from BSMs across Texas.
    • Provo is one of Texas BSM's Reach the Campus, Reach the World locations. It's a strategic place in need of gospel ministry. This is the third year that Texas BSM has sent a team to Utah in May. You can take part in the ministry that's been happening there for several years!

  • The total cost of the trip is $1000. This will be broken into a $100 deposit due Feb 1, $450 due April 1, and $450 due May 15. BSM staff would love to help you come up with ideas to fundraise for the trip!

We send all BSM students through the Texas Baptist missions sending agency, Go Now Missions. We want to work hard to find an experience that fits you well. If you do not see a position on the Go Now Missions list that fits you, please speak with any of our BSM staff. 

how to get a passport

If you plan to travel outside of the United States — including to Canada and Mexico — you need a U.S. Passport. Here is how to obtain a U.S. Passport:

  • Complete the Passport application form. complete the only form or download and print the application here.
  • Present proof of U.S. citizenship. This is usually a certified birth certificate from the city, county, or state of your birth.
  • Present proof of your identity. This is usually a current, valid driver’s license.
  • Provide 2 passport photos. (these can be taken at Walgreens and CVS)
  • Pay the applicable fee.
  • Apply in person at a local passport acceptance facility. Click here for a list of passport acceptance facilities.
