Christian's Story

Before coming to UNT; one of my biggest worries about coming into college as a Christian, was becoming disconnected from my church back home and the accountability and fellowship that comes with being connected to a church. After being reached out to by Brady Blair, now someone I’d consider a close friend and mentor, I was able to get connected with the BSM and meet some of my best friends from my freshman year; make plenty of memories from the late night trips to “whatahang”, mission trips, and weekend getaways; and get connected to a local church that I’ve fallen in love with. I’m truly

grateful for the impact the BSM has had in my life in the short year

I’ve been involved and connected.

Kishaun's story

At the beginning of my junior year at UNT, I didn't know a lot of people because I had just transferred from a community college. One day, I was getting on the bus to go home when I saw a sign that read "Free Lunch: every Wednesday," so I decided to come that Wednesday, where I met a ton of other students that wanted to make new friends, just like I did. Coming to free lunch opened the door for me to become more involved at the BSM, and I was able to find community in the students, and staff, at the BSM too.
